During tough economic times, overwhelming debt can be as common as it is soul-crushing. Fortunately, there are proven processes for digging oneself out of debt. With a little planning and some focused effort, it's easier than most people realize to eliminate or substantially reduce their debt. In this course, you'll learn about the different types of debt, how to understand your net worth, how to determine your credit worthiness, and how to develop your plan for becoming debt free.
About the Speakers

Susan Stalteri
In her 23 years in the financial industry, Susan Stalteri has seen women from all walks of life struggle with financial information and understanding. A belief in lifelong learning and a desire to educate has brought Susan to Fresh Start to empower you to be proactive in your financial journey.
Susan has held many high-level VP and management roles in some of the leading national financial businesses over the last two decades, including director of broker-dealer and registered investment advisor for Lincoln Financial Advisors. This results-oriented leader also has business development experience for start-up companies and has managed, coached and developed large teams in a corporate setting. Susan has spent the last few years as the founder and president of MyMoneyPlace, a financial education and empowerment company for women that focuses on how to strategically make money, spend money and save money.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the National-Louis University in Chicago.

Kate Nason
Despite her family being financially strapped growing up, Kate Nason's mother dreamt big for her only daughter. Her mother's unwavering belief in her and Kate's passion and determination made her realize that the only thing that holds us back in life are the constraints we put on ourselves.
For nearly ten years, Kate has led financial decisions for Intel as a financial analyst and, currently, as the corporate quality network finance manager. Her specialties include leading effective teams, communications and financial analysis.
With a background also in business and marketing, she began her career as the marketing coordinator for an award-winning print publication. Kate has a BS in Finance and a BS in Management from Arizona State University and an MBA in International Management from the prestigious W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU. She is a board member for Fresh Start Women's Foundation.

After watching this course, I have started my own net worth statement. This statement has helped me visualize a few places where I can cut down on my liabilities, which will in turn increase my net worth. My next step is to classify my debt. I feel like I'm finally on my way to being in control of my finances again!
